There are three airports with an easy commute, Almeria and Murcia an hour in either direction and Alicante 2 hours. The village has become popular with ex pats as well as other Europeans over the last 20 plus years because of its slow pace of life, beautiful weather, mild winters and low cost of living as well as very reasonably priced property. The village has 2 excellent supermarkets, medical centre, chemist, banks, post office, vets, small shops, 2 gymnasiums, padel tennis, tapas and cafe bars and restaurants. There is also a weekly street market on Saturdays. The larger town of Albox is less than a 10 minute drive and has many more amenities.
